Crying eyes in the sunset
Crying eyes amongst the dew
I’ve been crying since you left me darling
I’ve been crying just for you
The roses all have lost their splendor
The trees are bent and crying too
The wind no longer whispers love songs
Things here are very blue
The meadow larks no longer sing
The river’s curves are winding low
Please come and rescue me
Because I need you so

the rain is pounding on my window
The clouds are rolling by
Tomorrow maybe shiny
And I shall see the sky
The blue of heavens rolling seas
The brightness of the sun

Maybe a brand new start
The laughter of a child
Dew upon the grass
To belong to someone
Is that to much to ask?

The Rose
Of all the flowers in this world
The one I cherish most
Is the rose as it starts to blossom
And slowly nods it’s heaad
It grows in all the colors of the rainbow
From pink to the deepest red
It’s late in October, I thought they all had gone
I looked out in my garden and there stood only one
It was orange as October’s color
The prettiest I’ve ever seen
And I thought to myself
I wonder what that means.
October is the month of Mary
as she appeared in the cova de Iria.
And sent the sun a spinning
All colors of the spectrum
was around her like an aureole
It started falling to the earth
People knelt to pray
Then it made it’s way back to the heavens
It was a miracle that day
Now I know what my rose stands for
To believe in heaven above
Give Mary and her Jesus our all abiding love

Don’t fault me till you have walked in my shoes
Don’t hate me til you have at least tried them on
Maybe they will be a bit small or a bit large
Maybe they will not even give you a cle
What is in my heart or mind is known to only one
The one that rules us all
I know he doesn’t hate me, you see he understands
He’s the Father, Holy Ghost, and Son
He knows my worst faults and the best ones too
He knows that I didn’t mean to hurt anyone
I was hitting bottom
I was sad, lonely and blue
I was living on an island all alone
Hurting deep deep inside, no one to talk to
I feel like I couldn’t take any more
Thinking if death was at my door
It wouldn’t hurt anymore
I would open it and let him in
Maybe even smile
To be at peace for a little while
When you stub your toe it hurts
When you lose someone that does too
But when you lose yourself then that’s the end
There’s nothing else to do
It’s too late to make amends.

The Land Beyond The Sun
There’s a land beyond the sun
That is filled with sights unseen
Only way you can see them now
Is only in a dream
The streets are made of golden clouds
The grass is gilted too
The trees shine like diamonds
It’s a dream that seems untrue
Only a few of us will eversee it
Cause it’s out beyond the sun
Just made for special people
and I know that I’m not one

Boo Boo
We have a little dog
His name is Boo
His favorite meal is a darn old shoe
He’s a pretty little dog as black as coal
He’s pastime is going outside and digging a hole
He’s got human eyes that we can’t explain
He don’t like a bath but
loves to play in the rain
He’s changed our lives in so many ways
I hope he’s with us the rest of our days

Now is the time I really need you
The quietness and the fears
You were there to really help me
and wipe away the tears
I’m feeling sad and lonely
and real shakey all inside
But if you were here beside me
my fears would all subside
The days are long and
nights are frightening
I need you all the more
Why did you die and leave me
You are gone forever

the hands of a sculptor
The hands of a sculptor
The eyes of an artist
The heart of a poet
Is what it took to make
the heavens and the earth
The ocean has a beauty all it’s own
Even in anger it shows beauty
The thrashing of it’s waves
Then again it can be serenity
and peace
Calm and tumbling like children at play

The Comet
The comet used to be a warning to mankind
That frightened most the people
They thought it was a sign
A sign for them to do better and to love their fellow man
To help the poor and needy
To praise their God again
But then the minds of menbegin to change it seems
They went from loving God
To other broad extremes
They said it was a ball of ice
That traveled very fast
Around the sun and back again
That throws off lots of gas
That’s the scientist’s way of thinking
Maybe they are right
But isn’t it kinda funny
that it showed up the first Christmas night?
